I grew up in a small Indiana town. I didn’t think it was so small until I moved to Los Angeles. It was one of those towns where everyone waves and says hello to you, even when they don’t know you. No matter how small it is, its a gorgeous place. My family lives on a farm and the one thing I miss the most is the tranquility it brings. Sometimes all you hear are the harmonious sounds of frogs in the creek and the owls hoot. I love talking to people who can fill my mind with interesting things. My favorite flowers are calla lillies. I can’t live without travel in my life. It makes me feel so alive! I watch documentaries constantly. You name it, I’ve probably seen a documentary about it. One of my favorite things to do is to play board games with my Uncle Mike. He always wins or at least he claims to be the winner, but it’s still a cherished moment no matter who the winner. When I pass a bakery or a chocolate shop I feel compelled to go inside to look and smell. Luckily that is all I do! I love to hike mountains for the mix of a great workout and the time to be alone in serenity, to be able to listen to your own thoughts without the bustle of life’s challenges. And theirs nothing quite like the feeling of reaching the top even if you’ve hiked the same mountain over and over again.
